Pictures & a funny video at the end

He is supposed to be smiling for the camera

being a ham

Being silly with a spoon

Hi favorite thing to do after I put away all of his toys, throw them off the table and sit in it

He LOVED pushing Scout (and some Yogurt) in the stroller.

Cutest Pj's ever!

No I'm serious my favorite pj's ever!

Luke being his usual silly self!

This video is of Luke and the chimp Grandma and Papa brought back from their trip to Idaho. Luke loves it!

Talkative little boy

So we have a little boy now. All signs of baby are going away. The last week he really all of a sudden looks like a little boy now. Plus he is repeating everything! The other day I was joking around because Jason was being his normal smart ass self and I said to Luke tell Daddy to shut up and sure enough Luke said Shu up. We were dying laughing. He also said bounce bounce, kitty kitty, and hi that day. Last night Luke and I went to dinner with Lindsay and when we came home Jason was home and said hey guys and Luke looked right at him and said Hey. Then as he was getting into something I said please don't do that and he said do that. Its really funny to see him start saying things. Some things I'm not sure if he knows what they mean but I know for sure he knows bounce (since he bounced every time he said it) and Kitty. We really have to watch what we say now. Earmuffs are in full effect.

Luke is a very silly little guy. He thinks he is hilarious. I love watching him do stuff because he thinks it will make us laugh, and most of the time it does!

Vegas Gangster Style

On our last night in Vegas we met up with Jason's boss and her family at Circus Circus for dinner. When we got there we saw a man and his son taking pictures like this and I could hardly stand it they were so cute so on our way out we had to have it done. It was 10pm and Luke was exhausted but as usual he was a rock star when it comes to having his picture taken and did a great job.

My bad boys!

The cutest little gangster in the whole wide world!

By the way, Jason would make a horrible gangster. They had to keep telling him to stop smiling and be serious. It was too funny!

Vegas!

Wow I'm having a blast in Vegas. Its been lots of family time! Luke has been amazing on the trip. He slept 12 hours straight our first night here! We have had an amazing babysitter Mariko who really has let us have some adult fun and taken great care of our little guy. Man Luke sure made her work hard for her money last night. Last night was so much fun. We got out without the little guy for 6 hours! I can't even believe we stayed out until a little after 1am. Man I haven't done that in a long time. We went to see Jay Leno live. Man what a good show. It was an hour and it was so funny I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Funny enough before we left for the show we were all tense and fighting. It was a group of Jason, Josh (my Brother in law), Chris, Becca, and I. The restaurant we were going to eat at was an hour wait and we had an hour to feed Luke, get him to the sitter, and get a taxi to the show. We were all upset with everything anyone else said but we finally ate at a little sandwich place ran Luke up to the room made some cocktails got in the cab and everything went back to normal and fun. After the show we went to the Venetian because we had $25 in free slot play. Jason, Chris, and Becca played the slots while Josh and I went to the bar and talked. Really feel like Josh and I bonded and it was great! I love having another brother (now I just want a sister Kyle or Josh!). After the Venetian we tried to go to a bar Chris and Becca used to go to but it changed a lot so they went back to their part of town while Josh, his friend, Jason & I headed to the Mirage. We found this bar that was buy 1 drink get 1 free and they had great music and it was nice to hang out and have a little fun!!!

Luke loves hotels. He is so funny as soon as we got into Vegas he was very quiet and not really looking at all the sights and sounds of the casino. I thought he would love it. As soon as we got in our room he was running around laughing stomping his feet and having the time of his life! Haven't taken many pics except for some in the room and I will post those later!!

Overwhelmed

I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed the last few days. I have been busy at work for the last few months and its been tough to get it all done but all of a sudden I feel like I just closed the books for last month and got all the statements out and credit cards run and now its time to do it all again. Thursday I worked 10 hours and had several interruptions from what I needed to get done. When I got home and walked through the door Luke started to whine. Apparently he hadn't been feeling well that day and when my mom walked in the door 10 minutes before me and he thought it was me he started whining. As soon as he saw it was my mom and not me he started laughing and playing again. Then I walk in and he starts to whine again. I pick him up and ask him if he doesn't feel good and he in very big dramatic fashion grabs his head and moans. He was working me over good! He did have a little fever. He seemed to be fine otherwise and if anyone else was around he was happy playing with them. I just took it like he needed some mama cuddle time so we just cuddled and hung out until Jay came home and our routine of bath, play, and bed commenced. As soon as we put Luke to bed it was time for me to go over my H2O order. I had a party a couple weeks ago and it was my best one yet! I made $180 off of it! The only problem with having a large order is having to go through it all and I give out little instruction cards and write a letter to each customer. I was up until 11:30 that night getting every thing ready for delivery the next day. The next day wasn't much better. I hate the end of the month and closing the books. It is so much work and having only one person in the office and one in the lab does not make it easier. I am so behind. I have been skipping lunch breaks but it makes sad because this is Luke's last week at home before going to daycare and I will miss coming to see him everyday so I would like to be able to see him this week. I really need to come in when the office is closed and I will not have to answer the phone. That takes up so much stinking time!

Luke was not feeling well last weekend. Not to mention the fact that he has pretty much stopped eating and drinking much milk. Now he quit eating almost everything before he started getting sick. He would no longer eat most of the fruits and veggies he used to and pretty much all his normal foods. Luckily he will still eat his pureed prunes because he needs them to be somewhat regular. He has been eating watermelon like crazy. I buy the 2 mini watermelons from Costco and he went through 2 last week. Other than that we are lucky to get him to eat some yogurt and applesauce once a day with the watermelon. I tried to give him some whole grain french toast from Trader Joe's which he normally loves but he just threw it this weekend. I wouldn't really be worried if he was drinking enough milk. The doctor had wanted him to have 24 oz. and he was only drinking 12-16oz so I added in another 4oz during the day and he was drinking about 18oz but now we are lucky to get 12 oz in him. I think he is just such a busy little bee he can't be bothered to sit down and drink a full bottle. The times when he does finish it are when he is super mellow and just lays down in his chair. Other times its a couple ounces down and then he just throws the bottle every time you hand it to him. He has started signing "Milk" sometimes but only if you ask him if he wants it then he will do it. He never has walked up to me and signed for some milk. Another fun thing he is doing is answering Yes or No by shaking his head. Now seriously it is the cutest thing ever. We were shopping the other day and he was getting resltess in the cart so I asked him if he wanted a cracker and he shook his head yes. I asked if he wanted another one when he was done and he said no. Now its not so good when you say should we have chicken for dinner and he shakes his head no!

He is growing up so much. I can hardly believe it!! Its like the last two weeks he has turned from baby to full on kid. Its really funny the things he can do now and he loves his baby einstein video: baby moves. He has mastered the art of peek a boo, waving, clapping, doing all the fun stuff to the song if you're happy and you know it, twisting, shaking, and now his newest thing he is trying to do is jump. Its the funniest thing. I was getting ready one morning and had the video on and heard the jumping part so I came out to see if he was doing it and sure enough he was trying. His "jump'' is more of a bending down and getting back up. So funny because in his mind he is very proud and thinks he is jumping.

He has also taken to putting my headband on. It is so cute. I don't know how in the world he realized what to do with it but he found a headband I bought but had never worn and he put it on his head. I tell him he is so pretty when its on. Its really cute.

I need to get some pictures up but haven't had the chance to upload them to the computer. I would say I will do it this weekend but I probably won't! Maybe I will get to it next week when I officially go down to 3 days a week at work. Then again maybe I won't because I also started working from home for Jason's office. Between that and Luke not sure how much extra stuff I will get done. Hopefully one day I can catch up on everything and not be so overwhelmed!

12 month check up

Wow did I really never put up his stats for his 12 month visit. Don't know how I could have forgotten that. So we went to the doctors and while we are waiting in the room (my mom came with us) Luke was running around like a crazy happy little guy. he weighed exactly 20lbs the guy didn't believe it and took it 3 times and every time the weight was the same. He was also 29.25inches. He is 35% for height and 15% for weight. Still a small guy! The doctor was impressed at how well he walked but a little shocked that he doesn't point to stuff he wants. I had to tell him this kid does stuff on HIS own time. You can't make this kid do anything he will do it if he wants to. I have been trying to get him to clap since he was 8 months old. I showed him how and told him what it was, I clapped his hands for him, and every time he does something good I clap and say YAY. Well he has never done that. Today I get a call from my brother while I'm at work that Luke was in his high chair and Kyle was listening to a speach on the computer and every time the crowd clapped so did Luke. Kyle said he couldn't see the computer at all but every time he heard it he would start.

He has been working on more top teeth too. Its been a nightmare. He is very naughty when he doesn't feel good. Last night I realized he has also cut another one on the bottom. That will put him at 6 teeth with another one on top coming. The teeth come out a lot quicker on the left side of his mouth. I think its so funny how easy it is for one side and the other side takes FOREVER.

We are officially going to Vegas in June. I'm really excited. We are going for a Kiwanis convention and have talked Chris and Becca (and I really mean twisted Becca's arm) into going! We are even going to have a baby sitter in Vegas! I'm very excited and can't wait to get out of town for a few days!

I know I just put up his birthday post but I had to write some of this stuff before I forgot!

Luke has changed so much recently. His looks have definitely changed. All of a sudden the red hair Jason and I saw is now completely gone. This kid is blonde! Not sure how he got blond hair or what the heck it will be when he is older but right now it is completely blonde. Its like when we got his hair cut we cut off all the red. Then there is his eyes. Everyone says oh what pretty blue eyes. Well they are kind of blue and kind of green. They do change depending on what color he wears. I wonder what they will turn out to be or if this is it. I am still loving his hair cut. I love having the option to spike it or keep it down. I love that it makes him look a little older but still like my baby.

He also loves to talk. We can't understand a darn word he says but he gets really into it throwing his hands in the air and gets very loud. It is super cute and Jason and I just sit there and look at each other and laugh. We try to ask him questions and we pretend we know what he says. Sometimes it really does sound like he says stuff. Last night we grilled up some dinner outside and decided it was nice out and we ate our dinner outside. When we were done Luke starting chatting away and we swear he said Thank You. I know he didn't but it sure sounded like it. His new favorite game is to take clothes out of the laundry basket. Jason was trying to fold a bunch of laundry yesterday and Luke would take the clothes out and throw them down. He likes to throw everything. If there are any papers anywhere within his reach he will make sure to throw them on the ground. After about 20 minutes of fighting with Luke about the clothes I told Jason to go get the new drum Jason picked up for his birthday. So he got the drum and drumsticks out and Luke is for sure going to be a rock star! Funny because I always said I wanted him to be the guitar player or lead singer for the worship band at church and sure enough he just might do it. Hopefully he got my talent for playing instruments! So far so good. He can really bang those drums. The cutest part is that he starts singing too. Don't know how he knows to do that. He even did it this morning when my mom and brother came over. He likes to sing. If music is on he starts singing or humming along. He even hums while getting rides in his wagon.

He is really giving lots of kisses now. He started this a little while ago but it was always the super open mouth tongue kisses and the other morning when he woke up I went and got him and since I hadn't seen him the night before I kissed his cheeks so many times and meant to ask him to give me some love but accidentally asked for a kiss and he gave me a kiss right on the lips and his mouth was closed. Of course I asked him for kisses about 1000 times that day so he is a little over it now.

I am seriously so in love with this little man I can hardly stand it!! Well Wednesday we go to the doctors for his 12 month check up. Guess we will see if he has caught up in the size department. My guess is no because everyone always says how tiny he is which makes me laugh because Aurora is way smaller than him and I was way smaller than him. I kind of hope for a little tiny baby girl one day! Although I have recently decided if I have all boys and they look like Luke I am going to be the luckiest mama in the world!
