37 weeks!!

Our baby is considered full term! Wow can't believe we made it this far without some major problem. Jason and I thought for sure I would end up on bed rest. Although at this point I feel like I should be because my feet are so swollen and itchy right now. Oh well not very long to go. My last day at work will be April 25, unless of course I can get him to come out sooner (that would be really really nice kid). Its not looking like he will come anytime soon though since while at the doctors last Wednesday my cervix was still closed. I'm hoping this Wednesday for a little progress but we will see.

Tax season is finally over!! I am so happy. I hate tax season and I don't do taxes. Jason is happy too. He got a whole day off yesterday (well I guess not a whole day off considering he did a high school baseball game in the afternoon). Unfortunately he starts his CPA review courses this week so his break didn't last long. Last weekend we celebrated his 30th Birthday! Can't believe he is 30. We are going to get him a nice grill for his birthday. Hopefully we can go pick it out this weekend. I already got him some accessories for it and my parents and grandparents gave him some money for his birthday to go towards it!

Sophie is getting ready for her little brother to get here. She is testing out all the stuff in his room. She has now moved on from the car seat to the changing table. That is her new bed and she loves it. I just love her so much. She is the cutest little kitty in the world. She has been pretty loving lately. She cuddles with me all night long and then she has even cuddled with Jason sometimes which is pretty rare for her. I just love her so much! Here are some pictures of Luke's room, me at 37 weeks prego, and of course the princess herself.

35 weeks and swelling!

Well I am now 35 weeks. Only 5 to go (hopefully). I wake up with swollen feet and legs and then it just gets worse as the day goes on. By the end of the day my hands are swollen too. I try to put my feet up at work as much as possible and just hope that the doctor doesn't tell me to stop working because I really don't want to take much time off before Luke is here. I want all my time off to be spent with him so wish me luck. Here is my 35 week picture. I know I know I'm HUGE. I seriously think its impossible to get much bigger. I hope he is not a huge baby! We were looking at this picture next to the 23 week picture a few entries down and it is amazing how big I got in 12 weeks. And I thought I was huge at 23 weeks.

My friend April had her baby yesterday! He was 3 weeks early. He is adorable. Jason and I went to see them at the hospital yesterday. Jason's cousin also had a baby yesterday. A little girl 9lbs 8 oz! Makes me very excited. It also makes me nervous because April was early and so that means we really need to be prepared. Jason has been saying this for weeks. April didn't have a bag packed for the hospital yet and Jason has been telling me the last few weeks we might as well just get it done but I thought it was silly to do it so early but I guess he is right. Darn. So on Sunday we are going to get the last piece of furniture (a book shelf type thing) for the baby room and we are going to work on it just in case he came early. Plus we need to put the car seat bases in our cars and take them down to the sherriff's station to make sure they are installed properly. Guess I better find some energy this weekend.
Our little girl Sophie has decided that the car seat is hers. I had put a receiving blanket around it so that in case she got in it and sure enough it took a couple of weeks but every night by 9pm we can't find her and sure enough she is sleeping in the car seat. She sleeps there ALL night and then comes in to lay with me for a few minutes before the alarm goes off. She used to sleep with us every night but now she sleeps in Lukes room in the car seat. I'm kind of sad because I miss her cuddling with me. I keep telling Jason maybe we need to go get a used car seat for her so she could have her own! Here are some pictures of the princess in her new space.

Baby Shower!

This weekend was my baby shower. It was so beautiful and such a good time. Thanks to Valerie, Kristen, Karen, Nancy, and my Mom for making it so nice. Here are some pictures from the day.

Me Due 5/5/09, Loralyn Due 5/19/09, and April Due 4/22/09!!!!!

Now that the shower is over there is a lot to do. So far we have the crib together with all bedding set up. We really want to put the mobile up but I think Sophie would try to play with it so we are going to hold off. Jason and Chris picked up the dresser and my rocker recliner while we were at the shower so I was able to wash all clothes, towels, and blankets and have them put away. We are looking good in the diaper department. My mom has been buying us diapers every paycheck and she just gave them to us so those are put away ready for him to get here and dirty them up. Valerie and her sister are super awesome and are letting us borrow a bunch of stuff so we have to figure out where to put everything.

As if tax season weren't enough we are very busy because Jason is opening his very own office in Old Town. We had to pick out the paint for it the other night so things can get started ASAP. Last night we went looking at office chairs for him. Its hard to find a good comfy chair that looks good. His chair needs "look" important since he will be the manager of the office. It is pretty overwhelming all the changes going on in our life right now. We have so much going on with Jason and his job that we don't even have time to think about Luke being here in 7 weeks (hopefully!). I can't wait until tax season is over then I might be able to sleep in until 5:45!!!!

32 weeks...and some big changes!

So I am now 32 weeks!! Only 8 to go (hopefully). Now they tell me my kid is about 4 lbs and 17 inches. Can't believe he is getting so big. I really can't believe he will be here so soon. My shower is this weekend and I am very excited to see everyone. While I'm at the shower Jason and my cousin Chris will be picking up my rocker/recliner and the dresser for Luke's room. It will be so much fun to finally get things all set up. Guess I know what we will be doing on Sunday!

The other night Sophie, who likes to lay on my stomach during the night was purring away on my huge belly and the baby started kicking. It was really cute. Maybe they are bonding. I just hope the introduction of baby and kitty go well. Princess Sophie is used to being the center of our attention and it makes me nervous that she might not take to well to the baby.

So yesterday my awesome husband quit his dream of becoming a major league umpire for the sake of our family. It was a very sad day around here. I feel so lucky to have married the most amazing man in the world who realizes that our family is the most important thing in the world. He is becoming a full time accountant and next month starts his review courses to get his CPA license. I know he never intended on being a CPA but he is doing to make a better life for our little one. As much as I also will miss baseball I'm looking forward to finally spending a full summer with my husband. We have never been together a whole summer before and Jason is super excited to finally be a part of fun summer activities like 4th of July, the races at Del Mar, the Del Mar fair (or whatever its called now), baseball games, and I'm sure many more things that I can't think of right now. This will be the most exciting summer because both my husband and my son will be here!

30 Weeks...Only 10 more to go!!

Wow can't believe I'm 30 weeks now. Can't wait until the remaining 10 (hopefully no more than that) are done and I get to see my son. I am starting to get slightly more uncomfortable as things go on. My belly is huge, my lower back hurts if I do anything (even stand for a long period of time), I had to pee 4 times in 4 hours last night, and if I eat too much (which can be really random amounts) I feel so uncomfortable for hours. I am taking iron since I'm anemic and it has helped with the tiredness a little bit but I'm still always tired and could take a nap at any time. Other than that everything is great.

This weekend my husband spoiled me by buying me my recliner rocker chair. It is so nice and comfortable. He is going to go pick up the chair and our dresser on March 14 while I'm at my shower. I can't wait to get the room all set up. Right now we have the crib full of all the baby stuff we have. I just want things to start coming together.

On another note we need all the prayers we can get right now for Jason's potential new job that would keep him home full time. We should know soon whether or not it will happen but I am really nervous it won't go through and he will have to go back to baseball. I just don't want to do the rest of this pregnancy and have the baby without him home! Please pray for us. Thanks.

Sophie and 28 weeks!

So yesterday morning I got woken up by Jason yelling at Sophie. I got up to see what the problem was to find him holding her in his arms, both of them covered in paint with a long line of white kitty paw prints down the hallway. Apparently while he was painting in Lukes room she got the idea to put her paw in the paint can, then when she freaked out and shook her arm and splattered paint everywhere. Here is a picutre of the two:
For some reason it doesn't look as bad as it was. Sophie did not like getting cleaned up and made some pretty funny noises. Man I love this littly kitty so much. She has such a funny personality. I'm so glad we got her. I just hope she loves the baby and doesn't get upset when he gets here.

Well tomorrow is 28 weeks for me. The third trimester!! Yeah. Finally only 12 weeks left. Can't believe in 12 weeks I get to see my son, assuming he wants to make his appearance then.
And most importantly I got my test results back today and DO NOT have gestational diabetes. I'm so happy I can't even explain it. Thanks for all those of you who were praying for me.

27 Weeks!

Wow only 1 more week to go in the second trimester! I can't believe next week I will be in the third trimester. There is still so much to do. Good news is that my blood work showed that I am anemic which explains why I have absolutely no energy. I've been on iron for 2 days now so I'm hoping that I get some energy in me any day now. Bad news is that I have to go for a 3 hour glucose test on Friday. I did not pass my 1 hour by 2 points. I'm just praying that all goes well and I do not have gestational diabetes. Please pray for me. Friday is going to be brutal. I will have to fast and then go in and have my blood drawn before drinking the sugary drink and then have my blood drawn again at 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours post drink. Thats a lot of blood draws! I just really hope that I am normal and do not have gestational diabetes. I guess we will see.
